Blackbriar's mission is to target and support public sector and Fortune 500 needs and requirements for remote satellite communications - VSAT, Network Infrastructure Services, Custom Application Development and IT Staffing.  This highly sensitive and critical sector includes but is not limited to:  The Department of Defense, The Department of Justice, The Department of Homeland Security, Departments of the Army, Navy and Air Force, The Central Intelligence Agency, and the National Security Agency.  By leveraging the Treadstone Consulting partnership Blackbriar Technologies, LLC, gains immediate access to extensive project experience, operations support and noted established offerings in Remote Communications - VSAT, Network Infrastructure Services, Custom Application Development and

Blackbriar brings into play as CEO, Ed Dyer, and (Colonel Retired - Army) a man with decades of experience, expertise and leadership in public and private sectors.
 
President Ed Dyer is a native Texan and a graduate of Baylor University. Prior to co-founding Blackbriar, Ed spent 32 years in the U.S. Army, serving in a variety of combat and leadership positions including Policy Analyst to the Secretary of Defense and concluding as the Executive Officer to the Commanding General, U.S. Army Medical Department School and Fort Sam Houston TX. During Ed's Army career, he was awarded the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star for Valor twice, the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart twice, the Department of Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Meritorious Service Medal four times, and the Army Commendation Medal three times, in addition to various battle and campaign ribbons. Ed was awarded the Combat Infantryman's Badge and the Office of the Secretary of Defense Identification Badge. Ed has been inducted into the Infantry OCS Hall of Fame.  Ed spent 12 years with the Dannemiller Memorial Educational Foundation as the Director of the IT Department and served as Director of Continuing Medical Education. Ed has an MA in Management and has completed a fellowship in health policy at the RAND Corporation.

Technology brings Internet to disaster areas

Treadstone Consulting is bringing the Internet into disaster areas through its VSAT or Very Small Aperture Terminal communication, which provides Internet connection using satellite connectivity.

Treadstone Consulting, which used VSAT technology to bring relief to the tsunami disaster areas in Indonesia, expects to provide these services to those affected by the recent earthquake in Indonesia.

VSAT is effective in these second- and third-world countries because it does not need a cable based infrastructure to provide Internet access, according to Ryan Wilson, managing director. This also allows VSAT to provide dependable bandwidth to disaster areas.
